Jalan Kampong Chantek House
Bukit Timah, Singapore
Completed 2009
A prime early example of the firm's continued exploration into indoor-outdoor pavilion structures, the Jalan Kampong Chantek House features a centralized communal living area under a low-slung
pitched roof with entirely openable glass ‘walls’. The staggered, axial nature of the surrounding residential structures also formed a later hallmark of the firm’s continued exploration of vernacular and post-vernacular architecture.
